Bev’s Hills – Week 8

Holy granola, it’s Week 8 already!
It’s getting to that part of term where you want to sleep, but you need to work – where your heart might say ‘wine’ but your head dutifully whispers ‘essay deadline’… Whatever the case, it’s only a few weeks until we’re finished with first term!

candle2015First on the agenda:
Candlelit Tour of Historic Leighton Hall (Friday 4th December) – a tour, mulled wine, mince pies and a roaring open fire – doesn’t that sound cosy?! The subsidized cost for this tour is only £15 and a deposit of £5 can secure your place! Just pop into Bev’s office to book now!

You shall go to the ball…
… But only if you pay the remainder of the ticket price TODAY! We’ll be in Trevor 12-5 taking the rest of the money. Please note that if you do not pay today, your place will be given to somebody on the extensive waiting list.

If you haven’t heard by now, HUSTINGS IS ON TUESDAY, HUSTINGS IS ON TUESDAY!
Join the event HERE! And we’ll see you in Biology Lecture Theatre at 6.30. It’ll be a lengthy process (as always), so make sure to bring plenty of snacks and drinks to keep yourself going.
People are already campaigning and I’d like to take a moment to stress the importance of reading manifestos and having a good, hard think about who you think will be best for the job.

(Oh, I do love my GIFs)…
That’s all for this week – have a good one and make good choices. Also, remember you can pop into FurCAT whenever you feel the need to or message any one of the JCR if you have questions – despite Hustings being an ongoing process, we ain’t going anywhere just yet!
Interesting fact of the week: Dolphins and whales give birth with the tail first instead of the head…
#creepy
