Trev’s Times – WEEK TWENTY-THREE

Happy week twenty-three Furnessians! I hope you have all enjoyed the amazing weather that this bank holiday weekend brought us! I can’t hold myself back from talking about Roses any longer so let’s get straight into this week’s Trev’s Times shall we?

Roses are Red!

Ahhhh what an incredible weekend that was! The sun was out, the whole of Lancaster came together, six Furness Presidents were reunited and we proved, without doubt and an incredible 99 point lead, that roses definitely are in fact red! For the first time in (as far as I am aware) ever, we had won Roses before Saturday’s events were even over, allowing us to go into SUNday with the win and lots of suncream! In the end Lancaster closed the weekend with our final win in Men’s 1st Rugby Union, leaving the scoreboard looking like this …

Quiz

Trev’s Quiz is here as always this Wednesday at 7.30pm! It is just £1 per person to play and be in with the chance of a cash prize and some guaranteed fun! This weeks theme is… Takeaway Food! So brush up on any students favourite kind of meal and come show off your knowledge!

Jam in Furness

Don’t forget to join us for some live music and fun in Trev as we all come together to Jam in Furness. If you would like to play or sing at this event please contact Paul at, paul@paulsalmersax.com and don’t forget to bring your instrument along on the day! Otherwise, we would love to see as many people along as possible to relax and enjoy some live music.

Richard Slatter

This years Richard Slatter Pool Tournament is coming up and will be taking place in our JCR room, by Trev. Sign ups will be held at 11am on the same day, prior to the event. Anyone is welcome to sign up, though priority will be given to Furness College students. If you don’t want to take part in the tournament it would be great to see you come down and support.

That’s all for this week folks! Don’t forget that Assistant Dean applications are also still open- if you are interested you can email assistantdeans@lancaster.ac.uk for a job description and application information.

Have the best week, good luck with any exams and deadlines you might have over the next few days! Until next time!
