Fresher Rep Meeting

If you’re a fresher rep, there’s a compulsory meeting on Thursday at 7.15pm in Biology Lecture Theatre.

Friday Feast

This Friday, there’s a street food party happening in Furness quad and Edward Roberts Court (where Sultans is). Come down from 4-9pm to enjoy fresh street food including noodles, burgers, falafel, paella, crepes and more!

Week 3 Social – Trev’s Arcade

We’ve got a brand spanking new college social planned for the Friday of Week 3 (January 30th), Trev’s Arcade. More details will be released this week, expect to see a Facebook event appear soon!

Pub Quiz

Our pub quiz returns this Wednesday, the specialist round is Monopoly! As per usual, £1 entry, cash prize for the winners and much fun to be had.

15 Hour Bar Crawl

Furness’ long running affair with the event continues as we celebrate a significant anniversary together, the next 15 Hour will be the 25th edition of this famed social. Stay tuned for theme and details!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

International Student Workshop

To all new international students of Furness College arriving this term at Lancaster, we are offering a workshop to help you settle in. At 7.00pm tomorrow in the Furness TV Room, JCR International Officer Isabella Trapani will share her experiences as an international student. She’ll also talk through important information about bank accounts, money transfers, getting a UK SIM card and more. If you intend on attending, please click ‘going’ on the Facebook event so we can provide food for all those attending. Sports trials continue this week, why not try out for one of the following:

Men’s Darts – Tonight at 5.30pm in Trev.

Men’s Football – Tonight at 5.30pm. Meet in Trev.

Women’s Darts – Tuesday at 2pm in Trev.

Netball – Wednesday at 1pm on the university Netball courts.

In other news, the men’s football B team SMASHED Cartmel 4-0 this week #TeamFurness

Also, the Carter Shield restarts this Sunday with Wheelchair Basketball. Meet in the foyer at 12pm.

Eilidh Nicol (Education Officer) Thursday 1-2pm in Trevor.

Charlie Pepper: Friday 11am-1pm in Trevor.
