Trev’s Times – WEEK THIRTY!

Hey Furness! Sorry that it’s a bit of a late one this week, we’ve had so much going on with the End of Term Party, Extrav preparation and the general end of year madness! Here’s a round up of the news for the last week of term…

LAST CHANCE to Collect Graduation Tickets

Don’t forget to collect your graduation tickets from Jo Dickinson in the Furness College Office (room, A13).  You have until 12pm on  Friday 28th June.  After this time, uncollected tickets will be returned to the Ceremonies Office and you will only be able to collect your tickets on the day of your Graduation.

EXTRAV!

Extrav is THIS THURSDAY! Can you believe it?! We can’t! Get ready for Summer Lovin’ in Furness, and be prepared to dance the night away. Struggling for ideas? Check out this Pinterest board for some inspiration!

Lancaster Career Mentoring Programme

The popular Lancaster Career Mentoring Programme will close for applications on June 26th at 1pm. It has been hailed by previous mentees as ‘the best careers-related’ initiative you can take part in on campus. Available to all students (UG & PG), sign up to be matched with a professional in a career that interests you for the future. Even if you have no idea what you want to do, we have mentors who can help you navigate those choppy career waters.

Please visit Mentee Applications 2019 – 20 to apply for the Programme & don’t miss the chance to take part and access bespoke careers advice exclusive to you!

Alumni Facebook Group

For those graduating and would like to stay in touch, please join the Alumni Facebook Group.   We would love you to share your graduation day photos!

Suggestions for the New JCR

Please let us know how we can improve! Whether it be Trev’s Times, event themes, sports coverage – literally anything! We’re open to suggestions and would love to hear them. Look out for a short questionnaire post-Extrav…

A Big Thank You

Furness College JCR and SCR wish everyone a wonderful summer. For those graduating, we look forward to seeing you on graduation day. We wish everyone all the best for their future careers.

That’s all folks! Thanks for another great year in Furness. To everyone that has joined us, welcome to our Furness family, we hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have! And to those leaving us, we hope that you never forget that home is where the mountain is.

Here’s to next year!
