First Year College Rep Applications – This is the last week to get in your applications to be a Fresher’s rep! If you’ve not yet received an application form then you can download a copy here. Get them into the porters by Monday 22nd!
Consent Week – Week 16 means consent week! Keep an eye out for information packs being handed out by FemSoc in Alex Square.
Charity Film Night – Next Tuesday (23rd Feb) in the TV Room we are going to be holding a film night to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a charity which helps terminally ill children and their families. We’d really appreciate your support. Film choice to be announced and you can find more information on the charity here.
Welcome Week – Planning for the next Welcome Week (aka Freshers’ week!) is already underway! If you have any feedback from your Freshers’ week or have anything you’d like to see then our President Qas would love your input – pop into Trev any Wednesday from 12-1 or email him to have your say!
Pub Quiz – As usual, we have our beloved pub quiz on Wednesday night at 7:30pm in Trev. This week’s specialist topic is American Dad, as chosen by last weeks losers! Facebook event here.
Open Mic Night – We’re hosting another open mic night this week! Come to Trev on Thursday from 8pm onwards for a night of free live entertainment. Performers of all abilities and genres are welcome and will receive a free drink as a thank you! Facebook event here.
Just Play – This week all Furness students are able to take advantage of sports sessions run by Just Play for FREE! That’s right, 100% FREE!!

Carter Shield – This weekend is the second Carter Shield of the term! This time we will be playing Futsal, an modified indoor 5-a-side football game with a heavy ball. We will be meeting in Furness Foyer on Sunday afternoon and we need as many participants as possible, no experience required – keep an eye out for more details to come!
Patriots – We’re already smashing planning for patriots! On Friday and Saturday of Week 18 (that’s the 4th and 5th of March for people who still keep track of actual dates) we will be battling Cartmel for sporting glory! Keep an eye out for more details to come!
Furst – We are in the process of creating Furst, the termly college magazine, and we want your input! If you fancy writing an article or have any photography, poetry, art or anything else you want included then please message the Facebook page and we’ll be in touch!
