Trev’s Times – WEEK EIGHT!

Hello you lovely lot! Welcome back to Trev’s Times. It’s Week 8 already – how are we all feeling about that? I can’t quite believe we’re there already!  Read on to find out more about what’s going on this week in Furness…

 

Hustings

All important information about Hustings 2018 is here! Hustings is the best time to find out more about our new JCR candidates, giving you the opportunity to hear their manifestos and ask any questions that you might have.

Voting opens WEDNESDAY at 12pm and remains open until FRIDAY at 4pm.

(Good luck to everyone who has nominated themselves, I’m sure you’ll smash it!)

 

Sports Fixtures:

Week 7 scores: Football As lost 1-0 to Bowland, but the Bs won 2-1 against them! And in Netball, Mighty Mountains lost 17-1 to County.

And this week in sports… a lot of our teams are taking on Cartmel so some support at these matches would be amazing!

Monday: Bar Sports 7pm, with Women’s Pool  starting slightly earlier at 6:30pm

Tuesday: Bar Sports 7pm (Women’s Darts starting at 6:30pm), Netball As (vs County) at 7pm, Netball Bs vs Cartmel at 9pm

Wednesday: Netball Bs (vs County) at 3pm, Football (vs Pendle) at 3pm

Thursday: Trev’s Army vs Witch Please (Pendle) at 8pm

Friday: Mighty Mountains vsThe Mighty Boars (Grizedale) at 7pm

Saturday: Football Bs 5pm

Winter Ball

Winter Ball tickets are only on sale until December 3rd!! Don’t miss out on the Christmas event of the year with all your wonderful Furness pals, new and old. You can buy the tickets here.

Don’t forget to go and see Jo about your table arrangements if you haven’t already!

 

Food Bank Collection

Lancaster University students will be visiting the campus accomodations in Week 9 to collect non-perishable food items for Morecambe Bay Food Bank. There will also be donation boxes in the porters lodges.

Inter-College Quiz

QUIZZER NEEDED to compete on Monday 26th November 6:45pm-8pm. The winning prize after the head-to-head is £300 – get your quiz brains Furness!

Mindfulness Meditation

Need to relax and unwind from all those deadlines? Mindfulness Meditation is open to all students and staff every Thursday in the Chaplaincy Centre.
