SPORTS OFFICER
Hello everyone! I’m Tom Davison, a 1st year Economics student, and I am one of the two Sports Officers on the Furness College JCR. As Sports Officers it is our job to help with the coordination of sporting activities within the college. It is hugely important to maintain a good relationship with all of our college sports captains to ensure that we can help them to make their teams as successful as possible! Furthermore we also help to coordinate teams for Carter Shield events which is often a great chance for a variety of people to get involved with sport. Probably the most important part of the role is working with the Cartmel Sports Officers to organise a successful and enjoyable Patriots event which is one of our biggest events of the year. During my time as Sports Officer I want to work towards increasing both the awareness of college sport and participation within our teams. Hopefully with my help we can have a successful year of sport within our college!
