Good morning! I can’t tell you how sick I am of exams. I’d say I’m as pissed off as a dragon trying to blow out candles. Haha… get it? Because they breathe fire… so when they try to blow out the candle… Haha.

Nominations open in week 7 for the positions of Sports Officer (x2) and Social and Events Officer, with hustings on the 8th June. If you’re thinking about running for one of the positions but feel a bit unsure, just go for it. Trust me. Alternatively if you’d like to find out a bit more about the positions and what they actually do Amanda, Mossy and Jaz will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
All of the CCO positions will be being elected at the same time, with hustings on Monday 9th June.
Summer Charity Fun Day
On Wednesday we’re hosting a charity fun day in aid of St. John’s Hospice. Come down to the Furness quad for a fun-filled afternoon of chicken petting, hula hoopin’, waxing Tom (have you seen his arse on the front cover of Furst?), ice cream, giant garden games and plenty more. In the evening will be our usual pub quiz followed by an open mic night. For more information, check out the Facebook event.
General Meeting
On 2nd June at 6:30pm (venue TBC) we are holding a general meeting. Business which has been submitted so far is a motion to change the elections of the sports officers from Summer to Michaelmas terms. Any member of Furness College may submit items for the agenda, which should be sent to f.douglas-phillips@lancast
Extrav 2014
