Bev’s Hills – Week 23

Happy half term and MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!
(Okay, sorry. Had to get that out the way.)

So tired of this song, but I really love Star Wars and this is funny.

Today’s a good day, trust me. If you like Star Wars – or if you don’t and just want to get away from exam stress, revision or your flat mates – we’ve got a Star Wars marathon sorted for you! On top of that, we have food, drinks deals, booze tubes and if you buy a drink from Trev, free entry to Dalton Rooms!
Join the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/817562908325034/

As exam season is here, we’ve got some cool de-stressing activities coming up, courtesy of our epic welfare team!
Charlie will be about from Tuesday, handing out lollies – because every little helps, and who doesn’t love candy? You can also pick them up from the porter’s lodge.

Welfare is changing!
Following a wonderfully successful Welfare Week last term, Becca’s session is now turning into a group-oriented one. Running on Tuesdays at 6pm in the TV Room, it’s a chance for people to come and listen and chat in a safe, non-judgemental environment. It will also be a place where you can link in with other contacts who could potentially help them and Becca is happy to talk about her own experiences and how different services have been beneficial to her and can be to others.

Our favourite bar space on this earth, yeah, Trev, has got some jazzy new stuff coming to it! We’re working on new long-term weekly events for you all… And you may have noticed we have a ping pong table! To play ping pong just ask the bar staff for the bats! Also, doesn’t this gif ROCK?

And just a wee last reminder: THE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION ENDS THIS FRIDAY – send in your Furnessian memories for a chance to see them in Trev! All info on the Facebook page, where you need to send your pics into.

… And that’s all. Here’s your crazy fact for the week: Collectively, Gangnam Style has wasted over 15,400 years of humanity’s time on YouTube (as of 2014). Dude.
Have a lovely week and don’t work yourselves too hard, remember to get fresh air and eat and hydrate and all of that,
Heather xoxoxo
