What better way to kick off the term than with Roses, this weekend, Friday through till Sunday, there are still some tickets left so make sure you don’t miss out on a chance to experience the best weekend of the university calander, and spend some time in a new city, watching our beloveded sports teams prove that roses truly are red!

Carrying on from that, a message from our sports officers…

We would like to welcome you back for another term. Although you may be focused on exams and deadlines there are still some great opportunities to get involved with sport this term:

Richard Slatter Pool Tournament

Saturday 20th May sees the return of our annual pool tournament in memory of Richard Slatter. This tournament is open to all and is certainly one to put in the diary. We hope to see a great turnout of Furnessians for this tournament!

Carter Shield

The Carter Shield will return this term and is a great opportunity to play some sport and forget about third term stress. The dates of the Carter Shield events and the sports which will be played are yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for any updates about the Carter Shield.

But of course the best way to keep up to date with college sport is by visiting our Facebook Page and dropping it a like: https://www.facebook.com/Furness-Sport-810370212396481/

Also, finally, we have a new Furness Welfare page set up to offer help, advice and tips over the coming months with exam and revision stress. It is also a page you can visit if seeking help and advice, make sure you take a visit and give it a like!
