Good morning Furnessians! We’re nearly there, only 5 days to go until Easter break! Good luck to anyone who has exams and deadlines this week – you can do it! To celebrate the end of term we’ve made a special news report….

General Meeting – TODAY at 6pm in Furness TV room is the Furness General Meeting. Come down to see how the JCR run your college – we will be discussing Patriots rules as well as Freshers Week plans – AND there will be FREE PIZZA! Come down! The Facebook event is here.

Feedback – This week we want to hear what you’ve had to say about your experiences this term – the good, the bad and the ugly. Fill in this online form completely anonymously and we will take on board all of your criticisms and suggestions!

Patriots – Unfortunately, as you may have heard, it was decided that we lost the Patriot’s shield to Cartmel – our full statement is available here. However, it was still an incredible weekend and we have lots of lovely photographs of our amazing sports teams!

Sports – Congratulations to the following bar sports teams who all defeated Graduate college last week! Men’s Pool B team 6-3, Men’s Darts team 8-1, Women’s Pool team 5-4, and Dominoes 2-1. This week we have the following fixtures…

Pub Quiz – This week will be the last pub quiz of the term, in which we will be awarding a prize to the winners of the league table! The specialist topic is Formula 1, as chosen by last weeks losers. Come down to Trev at 7:30pm to have a go! For more details see our Facebook event.

St Patrick’s and Trevaoke – To celebrate St. Patrick’s day this Thursday, we’re going to have our very own celebration in Trev from 8pm! Startup Stories – Whose Startup Story will inspire you?

Startup Stories is back and next Thursday, 17th March, you have the chance to hear from Lancaster alumni who have made the transition from nine-to-fivers to successful entrepreneur and master of their own career path. Whether you’re a 90s music fan (Placebo anyone?), an aspiring fitness freelance, have a passion for fashion or an aspiring future Mark Zuckerberg, this is an event for you. This is open house – any student from any college can attend – just pick the college with the alumni stories that interests you most. Free food for advance bookings. Certificates provided for the Lancaster Award for all Target Connect Registrations who sign in on the evening.

Easter Egg Hunt – If you’re staying in Lancaster over Easter then we have the activity for you! On Tuesday 22nd March (the first Tuesday of the vacation) from 1pm-5pm we’re having our very own Easter celebrations. Come to the TV room at any time for an afternoon of games, ending in a Furness Easter Egg hunt! Everyone will get a FREE EASTER EGG on arrival and you’ll have the chance to win more eggs as prizes, so come down!

Find Terry Solution – This week Terry travelled back in time to watch Hustings to watch from the back row! We’ll continue with “Where’s Terry?!” over Easter to keep you occupied.
