Bev’s Hills – Week 14

Gooooooood Morning Furness! Happy Monday, and Happy February! This week we’ve got another video edition of Bev’s hills!

TL;DW Version:

Furness Lancaster Award Week – Are you signed up to the Lancaster Award but haven’t done anything about it yet? Or have you yet to sign yourself up? Have no fear, we have two fabulous events to get you back on track! Tomorrow (Tuesday) we have a Lancaster Award Development Session from 1-3pm in Management School Computer Lab 1 for students who are already registered and want help logging their progress. If you’re a first or second year student and are interested in signing up then we have an Introduction to the Lancaster Award session being held on Thursday from 10-11am in Fylde Common Room. More details are available on our Facebook event :)

First Year College Rep Applications – Thanks to everyone who attended the introduction talk on Friday. If you’d still like to become a Freshers Rep then please message the Facebook page or pick up an application form from the porters lodge. Our Freshers Rep system counts towards the Lancaster Award and we’d like to see as many applications as possible!

Charity Film Night – On Thursday 11th Feb (week 5) our Welfare Team will be hosting a Charity Film night in the TV room. We’d like your input on which charity you want us to raise funds for, and you can have your say by voting at this week’s Pub Quiz. Speaking of which…

Pub Quiz – As usual, we’ll be holding our beloved Pub Quiz on Wednesday in Trev at 7:30pm. This week’s specialist round is The Vampire Diaries. Check the Facebook event for the current leaderboard!

Extrav Committee Applications – If you’re interested in being on this year’s Extrav Committee and have your say in the college’s biggest social event of the year, then send a paragraph to [email protected] explaining why you think we should consider you and what you’d bring to the committee. There are 5 places up for grabs and you need to be able to keep a secret! 😉

Open Mic Night – We will be hosting our second ever Open Mic night this Thursday in Trev from 8pm. We’d like to see performers of all genres and abilities, and as a thank you, all performers will get a free drink!
