Bev’s Hills – Week 1

GOOD MORNING FURNESSIANS! Hope you all made it to any 9ams…

My oh my, last week was pretty hectic. I really hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did… If you’ve got any feedback that you’re dying to make there are social feedback forms in Trevor, or you can just send us a message via the interwebs.

So what the ‘eck is a “Bev’s Hills?”

Bev’s Hills is the weekly college newsletter. It comes out (you guessed it) weekly, on the whole, and is usually packed full with thrilling information about the college, upcoming events and any other bits and bobs. Sometimes we even do video editions, for those of you that really can’t be bothered to read anything.

Big thanks to everyone who came down for the WE <3 TREV pub quiz yesterday, we had a great turnout! The pub quiz usually happens every week on a Wednesday at half seven. This week, it’s on Wednesday at half seven. Bring yourself and all of your mates down for a chance to win CASH PRIZES. The specialist topic this week is Hull City AFC. Join the Facebook event here.

Rainbow Bar Crawl

On Friday this week there is an LGBTQ* event, the Rainbow Bar Crawl. It starts in County Bar at 20:30, any questions should be directed to Tom Capon, our lovely social sec.

Student Media Summit

Interested in joining the student media? Lancaster has a TV station – LA1:TV, a radio station – 87.7 Bailrigg FM and a newspaper – SCAN. Our well fair welfare hours

Think that something is in actual fact well UN fair? Or maybe you just want a cup of tea and a chat. Our welfare officers are always happy to talk about any issues that may be bothering you, or even if you do just want something to do.

Bye-elections

Two bye-elections are taking place, for CCO Welfare and a University Council member. Nominations are open now, and elections will take place next week (week 2). If you’ve got any questions or you want to run but don’t know where to begin, get in touch with Frankie Phillips, our Chairperson.
